Eight of the ten largest megafires in California history have happened over the last five or six years. Partly that's due to global warming, but it's also due to how we've been managing the forests. And I think that's kind of a crucial piece that oversuppression over the course of many decades has created conditions akin to almost a bomb in our forests.
