Using Underscored

By creating an account or using Underscored, you agree to these terms. Underscored is a personal reading tool — a place to save, organize, and share passages worth keeping. Use it for that.

Your content

You own the clips and collections you create. By saving content to Underscored, you grant us a limited license to store and display it as part of running the service — including showing your public clips on your profile page and in the Discover feed.

Clips default to public. You can mark any clip private at any time from the clip detail screen. Private clips are only visible to you.

Acceptable use

Don't use Underscored to post content that is illegal, harassing, or harmful. Don't attempt to scrape the platform, reverse-engineer it, or interfere with its operation. Don't impersonate other people. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Underscored. One account per person — don't create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge.

The service

Underscored is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it running reliably, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Features may change over time. We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice — if that ever happens, we'll give you a way to export your data.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Underscored is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months (which, for most users, is zero).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Underscored after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
