The second it was in my system, I had a brief period where I felt a strange combination of horrible things. One being, Oh my god, I love this. I remember it. This works pretty fucking well. I can't say that there's no part of me that doesn't like this. And then of course there is a part of me that doesn't like it, because I felt guilty for liking it, and I hated that feeling.

We assume that if we are thinking something, other people can see it too. The problem is that our thoughts and feelings are invisible to others. What is obvious to us is often completely hidden to everyone else.

I think that I was really ignoring my personal relationship with the cello. I think I was using the cello as a tool, trying to extract all the good that I could from it in a way that would make an impact for other people.
