You can hear the audience immediately react whether they realize it or not. they have an understanding of what everybody has deemed is more attractive and more beautiful. So already I'm kind of like showing the audience that like we're all a little complicit in this.
The face looked like the beauty filters that Snapchat and Instagram provided to kind of lift your cheeks and plump your lips and make your eyes bigger and make your chin a little more heart-shaped. And you could press a button or you could use Facetune to digitally alter your face to fit this kind of algorithmically approved beauty standard. Like this was a face that the algorithm liked.
The foreheads are freezing. The lips are plump. Instagram face has kind of trickled down to the general population. You can get it at your local strip mall, basically anywhere you are in the U.S. and people certainly do.
And it is these beautiful, young, white women that best identify not so much the subject of the United States, but the objects to be fought over, judged, to be inspired by, but less so subjects of their own lives in those moments.
