You can't be a part-time person of principle. And I say certain things are important and it's not about um loyalty cuz I don't really believe in it as a as a thing... but this was about me and what I thought was the thing that was most resonant with who I am.
Measure for Measure is saying no individual can be consistent with their own ideas. And Isabella makes a point of that again and again. We cannot weigh our brother with ourself. And the whole, I think, point of the play is to say, you must weigh yourself in the balance.
