I find the incel movement is men just giving up and leaning into really unfortunate biases against women and these myths that women's success has been inversely correlated to their decline and that it's women's fault. And I find it's basically men just giving up and trying to find an excuse for putting in the work that every man has had to put in to try and find a mate.

It doesn't matter how successful a woman is, she's going to be fighting after the same pool of men. And then the vast majority of men who are not as successful have basically been shut out of the dating market.

My interest in sexual inactivity is partially because I used to study human sexuality scientifically but also because it to me is a reflection of emotional intimacy and connection more widely. So if people are less interested in having sex, what is taking its place? Why are people less interested? And if this is even happening among married people and people who are partnered up, I don't think that's necessarily a good sign of where we're headed in in society.

I think of the baby woman as kind of like the evil twin of the girlboss. And I think baby womanhood is the complete opposite of of the girlboss in that it's saying, I do not want any of these responsibilities. Just take them away. Someone else do it.

Women have long been more likely than men to struggle with or being diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Men are certainly reporting anxiety and depression more now, but to Faith's point, I think that's getting a lot of attention because that's a change, but that doesn't mean that women are thriving or are not struggling with depression and anxiety in the same way that they have been for decades.
