Expert means you have certification, you've done the diligence, you have the domain expertise, and perhaps you've devoted your life to not only trying to, okay, it's arrogant to say they have the right answers, but they have the least wrong answers of anyone because they devoted their life to understand the [ __ ]
The vast majority of the best investors who I've ever met, they have some sort of an edge, right? And when you think about that edge, it usually comes from a very specific life experience or a very specific type of intellectual curiosity that they've developed over decades. And that is very hard to replicate.
The problem is that we're often led to believe that we need to think outside the box, but actually the most creative solutions often come from people who have gone so deep into a box that they understand the nuances and the constraints so well that they can find new pathways within it that others couldn't see.
